Anthony Umina

Anthony Umina is an accomplished Salsa dancer from the Bay Area. He danced with "Pretty Boys & Girls" in San Fran, CA. In 2009 Anthony took his first step into the "Bachata world." With Bachata Caliente in L.A., and shortly after partnering up with Josie Neglia at the 1st Annual California Bachata Congress. He took 2nd Place in the Mayan World Bachata Championships. Anthony won 1st Place at the 2009 Sexy & Sensual Latin Dance Championships in London, UK with his partner & Co-Director Marissa Johnson. Recently in San Diego, CA he & Marissa have pioneered San Diego's Newest Dance Company and FIRST 100% Bachata Team with a mission to promote, train, create, spread, and unite Bachateros!

Solely responsible for popularizing Bachata dance in San Francisco Bay Area, RODCHATA, as bachateros intimately calls him, has been in the Latin Dance scene for over 15 years and is considered the foremost authority in the bachata dance, both Dominican and Modern styles. Rodney has travelled extensively teaching Latin dance internationally.
Alejandro Rey

Alejandro Rey has been dancing for Paso De Oro Dance Company for 16 years. In this time he has won many regional and national competitions in various fields of dance. He has performed for Latin recording artists Oro Solido, Monchy y Alexandra, Xtreme, and Regional Mexican recording artist Graciela Beltran. He has been a featured performer on national television programs like "Vista LA", "Tengo Talento, Mucho Talento", "12 Corazones", and Latin Americas #1 show "Sabado Gigante".
As an instructor Alejandro Rey has shared his passion for music and dance to thousands across the country. He has been a resident and guest instructor at numerous universities and grade schools.
He attributes his many accomplishments as a dancer, athlete, and as an individual to his mother, Alicia Mendibles, the founder and owner of Paso De Oro Dance Company.

Kathy Reyes

Kathy Reyes began her dance training at El Camino College. It was within that program where she discovered her passion to perform. As a member of Tropical Rhythm dance company, she expanded her abilities as a performer through local competitions and salsa congresses.
She then joined the reputed Bachata dance company Paso De Oro and began to garner national attention with her award-winning dance partner, Alejandro Rey. They began performing together in March 2010, and in that short time have accomplished to win the 2010 Stevens Steakhouse Bachata Competition, and establish themselves as the premiere bachata dance couple in Los Angeles.
